1. What benefits of working in KOGIC do I have?

- International experience, Learning avanced bioinformatics, Opportunity to participate in inernational events or projects, Opportunity to excel in research

 

2. How much time do I work in KOGIC?

- It depends on your position, regularly from 10 am to 5 or 6 pm.

 

3. Can I get a financial support?

- It should be discussed for each person, usually independent.

 

4. How can I get a visa?

 1) If you are in Korea now, check out an application forms for the Korean Immigration!

5. Why do I need an Alien Registration card if I already obtained visa?

 - In order to legally work and/or stay in KOREA for more than 90 days it’s a must.

It is illegal and punishable if you stay in Korea for more than 90 days without registration.

Also, you will need AR card in order to obtain KOREAN phone number and SIM card and in order to do any kind or registration.

 

6. What can I learn while interning/working in KOGIC center?

- Skills you learn will highly depend on the project you are enrolled in (you are more than welcome to bring your own research interests and ideas),

however, your progress should be self-driven with motivation and interest rather than expecting guidelines

 

7. Where can I stay in UNIST?

- You can stay in dormitory for researcher.

8. Can I learn Korean or Korean culture?

- We have UNIST Language Education Center, you can learn Korean and Korean culture and make international friends there.
