April 19th, 2010, PGI was established by Theragen Inc. as a non-profit research organization. Theragen is the most advanced genomics company in Korea.<br />

Genome Research Foundation which established PGI is registered foundation for genome research under the ministry of Education, Science, and Technology of Korea.<br />
<br />
Its main projects are analyzing personal genomes and other omes such as transcriptomes.<br />
<br />
